It sounds cliche but this summer really has sped by. We've got plenty more hot temperatures in store, of course, but as far as the calendar is concerned, time moves forward. Finito, summer. At one point, I owned an old BMW just a few years older than this one, but I ended up selling it to a young man with good taste. Unfortunately, a few months later I heard that a tree fell on it and totaled the vehicle. A real shame.

ATL In July
From a purely left-brain point-of-view, it seems that I did everything wrong with this photograph. I was using a grainy film with a half-frame camera on a hot and hazy day in Summer. What was I thinking? But the right brain tells me that the image itself works, and I am sure glad I have this particular moment recorded on a piece of film.
Tasting notes: Olympus Pen FT, 38mm f/1.8, Kodak XX film.

Out of My Comfort Zone
Temperatures here in the Deep South have been pretty seasonal for the most part this summer. In other words, about ten degrees cooler than in the UK at the moment. That said, the humidity has also been a bit higher than usual, so, all things considered, the level of comfort is still pretty miserable, with the heat index hovering around 105 F every afternoon. At least the clouds are looking mighty fine these days.
Tasting notes: Olympus EP2, Olympus 25 mm f/1.8, Silver Efex Pro.
